Confederate Veterans Meet and Exchange Reminiscences
Two 84 year old Confederate veterans A J Jackson of Salty and Reverend W H Pruett once of Rockdale now Cameron met by chance in county Judge Kemp s office. Both born in Alabama near each other, long Milam county residents, Christians, and veterans of Texas and Alabama legions. Both have large families with dozens of descendants and active old age in good health.

Baptist Women Hold Quarterly Jubilee at Wayside Inn
The Baptist church birthday Jubilee for July September born ladies was observed at Wayside Inn Monday afternoon at five with about sixty five members present. Hostesses were the July August September birthday women. Games began under Mrs. Joe Denson and Mrs. Wilson Gunn, then continued.
