Cameron Hosts Presbytery Union Vote in Central Texas
Cameron First Presbyterian Church hosted the Central Texas Presbytery meeting where 100 delegates approved creating a Union Presbytery uniting United Presbyterians USA and Presbyterian Church US. The move, effective January 1 1971, ties Wichita Falls to Rockdale and Sweetwater to Marlin and aims at ecumenical cooperation.

Open Air Concert By Cameron Schools Bands
The Cameron public schools music department presents Yee High School Symphonic Band Cameron Junior High Band and Cameron Junior High Beginner and St Anthony School Bands in an open air concert at 7 p m Friday on the Yee High tennis courts. The program features serious light and novelty music about an hour long with pieces such as A Santa Cecilia Slavonic Folk Suite and Festivo. The show opens with the Star Spangled Banner and school songs. A cornet trio Carolyn Mitchell Karen Taylor and John Sutter will perform Trumpetango. If weather turns foul the concert moves to the Yoe High gym.

Vaccination Set For Buckholts Dogs

Burglary at Cosby's Package Store Netted 19 Whiskey Bottles
Cameron police reported 19 bottles of whiskey stolen from Cosby's Package Store at 1007 West 4th Street on Friday night. Intruders broke the front door glass but did not take cash. Weekend also saw one minor traffic accident and several drunken incidents.
