Gurecky Named Cashier of Cameron Texas Bank
A K Gurecky was elected cashier of the Texas State Bank and Trust Company at a directors meeting on Tuesday April 26 succeeding J L Clinton who has served as cashier since the bank began two years ago. Clinton leaves Cameron for Harlingen to work with his uncle on valley lands due to health and a need for a cooler climate. Clinton has been in declining health and the change is advised by his physician. He previously served as assistant cashier and director at the First National Bank of Cameron before joining the Texas Trust Company. Clinton helped organize the bank, with Hefley as president, and the board and community regret his departure while wishing him success in South Texas. Clinton’s family will stay until the current school term ends. Gurecky, a Cameron native, has long worked in local business including Felix Matula Company and Decker Motor Company selling Dodge cars. He is well prepared for the role and will be greeted by friends in his new position.
