Leases in the vicinity of the tests are held at high prices. Ferguson and Hess drill deeper on their property in the Sharp district. A small rotary rig from Beau mont in Cameron was damaged by a switch engine during unloading. Taylor-Miller Co on Henderson tract drills and pumps 12 wells with plans for 20 on 119 acres. Joe Taylor and A E Miller manage the lease, both seasoned oil operators. Oil is sold to the local power company for fuel until a pipeline is completed.
