Corps eyes channel work to boost Belton Stillhouse flow
Col Koisch said the Corps of Engineers plans downstream channel improvements on the Little River near the San Gabriel River mouth to increase capacity for releases from Belton and Stillhouse Hollow Reservoirs and three San Gabriel projects. He noted approval from others is needed but expressed optimism as Belton operations began changing last month to reduce flows in Ackerman’s Slough near Tumlinson T Bar Ranch.
