House votes on term limit amendment and reform measures
A constitutional four-year term proposal for local officials passed the House 93 to 41 but needs 100 votes to reach the Senate. The House failed to push a $600 teacher raise, sent a judicial redistricting bill to continue hearings, and approved a homestead exemption expansion for singles 101 to 25. Local officials met with the attorney general on law enforcement as 64 small claims bills advanced.
