The Civilian Conservation Corps will abandon nearly 250 camps on October 1 and cut enrolments to about 200 per camp. Director Fechner said the retrenchment follows budget limits and a completed work program, with more than 100000 vacancies to fill and about 90000 enrollees to be discharged.
Over ten miles of film were used at the Hollywood RKO lot to produce the Standard Oil Company of Indiana sponsored feature Stan shown Thursday by company reps.
