The newspaper offers four Boys Town literature booklets free on request and announces results will appear after the contest closes on April 13. For each slogan entered, 75 cents will be donated to Boys Town for a show dormitory, and winning slogans become property of Boys Town. In case of a tie, duplicate awards will be made.
The past week reports D I Payton ill with heart trouble at home while Charles Gardner returns to Baker Hardware after a short illness. Betty Berkshire sings at Logan Theatre in Battleship Revue. Exalted officers of the Order of Plodge installed by Grand Knight Kammerer. Fireside forum at Baptist church noted. Several local families welcomed guests from Indianapolis Gary Calfax Royal Center Purdue and Delphi as community updates. Presbyterian church held annual meeting with new officers. M E Church Aid Society dinner honored Mr and Mrs Lee and Rev Rogers. multiple visits among Wallace Switzer Raber and Ulery families are recorded.
Nature I love to sit in the shadows when night falls and the moon casts a shadow on the mountain wall. Birds nest and sing a good night song as the kalledid comes out. Dew falls fast and shines like silver as nature glams under the moon, and I think God wants us to love.
A formal dance dress features white flowers with bright green leaves embroidered on black mousseline. The outfit includes a tiny cap of bright green feathers and a flaring black tulle veil dotted with feathers to add a gay note.
Entry ends by midnight April 13 with a $1000 prize for a ten word slogan on Boys Town and What It Means to America As a Check on Crime. Subscriptions support the Build Boys Town Fund and aid homeless boys. total prizes amount to $2100.
