Richard Gatling Inventor of Gatling Gun

Richard Jordan Gatling born in Hertford County North Carolina in 1818 assisted his father in sowing cottonseed and later developed rice sowing and wheat drill machines. He studied medicine in Cincinnati then conceived the revolving battery gun later named Gatling gun perfected 1865 adopted by the U.S. government. He died in 1903.
