The Soil Conservation Tour on Friday June 11 drew 136 farmers from Carroll Clinton Howard counties. At the Peterson farm Adams Township a permanent pasture program started under C C Camp with fencing for free growth trees and new plantings. A field for strip contour farming with corn wheat and clover rotation was laid out. At Clauser and Fred Smith Deer Creek Township dairy pasture and erosion plans discussed. Contour furrows and new plantings appeared at the Smith farm along with a marl pit opening.
