Governor Henry Schricker unveils a two point program to ease Indiana’s labor shortage after a study by the Committee on Child Delinquency and Employment. July marks many stamp validity changes for coffee sugar meat and other ration items. Blue K L M stamps expire July 7 for July 7 to August 7 validity in some categories. Coffee stamps No 21 22 and P Q R S adjust dates through July 31 and August 15. Sugar Stamp No 13 expires July 31 with renewal options and fruit canning guidance. Tires for commercial vehicles require semiannual or 5000 mile checks. Applications for renewals and new rations must be mailed to local boards.
4-H Club Camps Planned for July 23 to August 1
Boy’s camp runs July 23 to 26 and the girls’ camp from July 29 to August 1. Both groups plan to attend and organize activities for the event.
