Mr and Mrs Foes Seiber plan to move from Cutler to Camden. Jack Flora, son of Carl Flora, was placed in smallpox quarantine. Robert Gish of Young America visited his uncle John Gish and family. John Raber and family and Mrs Raymond Whitgner of Colfax guest at Carl Raber’s. Mrs Dora Ray ill in Miami Florida. Mr and Mrs Murray Tesh and Laura Ann spent New Year with A E Tesh in Camden. Dr Henry Weimer and sons from Bridgewater Virginia were guests of Orval Shank. Laura Jackson advanced to esquire in Knights Pythias at Logansport. Camden lodge sent a large delegation. Mr and Mrs Orville Hinkle hosted a New Year party. Camden guests included Dr B C Kerkhove, Mr and Mrs Lee Sink, Mr and Mrs Carl Raher, Edna and Edwin Raher.
First annual Indiana State-Wide Planning Conference to be held at Purdue University February 16 and 17 will cover governmental and rural planning housing and related topics. Governor M Clifford Townsend and renowned planning experts will speak. Sponsored by the State Planning Board Purdue engineering extension service State Housing Board American Planning and Civic Association and American Society of Planning Officials. The conference aims to protect property values and coordinate public agencies and foster cooperation among local, state and federal governments.
The Gold Medal Colt Club winners include William Doug and Clifford in 1937 showing top performers in the event.
An early community event in Purdue feature night entertainment with attendance at a local hut venue. The annual program showcases local talent and planned activities for December 28 with county and Purdue agriculture groups participating.
