Dairy Poultry Meeting Set for Carroll County Friday

Agricultural goals for Carroll farmers focus on boosting Dairy and Poultry output. Purdue experts Joe Sher and E T Wallace will visit Carroll on Friday January 15 to present new methods. Sher appears at Camden at 10:30 A.M. and Flora at 1:00 P.M. Wallace joins Flora at 10:30 A.M. and Camden in the afternoon.

Years Work to Have Regular Special Projects 1943 4 H

The 1943 4 H club program will streamline with farm and home projects and allow all club age youths to enroll in the Victory Club. Regular work includes record books while Victory Club credits time spent on home and farm projects. Local leaders will enroll members and provide record books soon.

Carroll County War Price and Rationing Board Schedule and Officials

The Carroll County War Price and Rationing Board will close Wednesday forenoon each week starting January 13 1943 to process applications and filings. A list of Official Tire Inspectors is provided with cities including Delphi Flora Burlington and Camden. Deadline dates are set for passenger cars January 31 1943 and trucks January 15 1943. Fuel oil and kerosene applications are mailed out with three month requirement forms to be submitted with unused coupons. Gasoline is rationed and no special gas is provided for soldiers on furlough or funerals. New point rationing registration will be handled at school houses under Home Economics clubs with Fred Breeze in charge. Only athletic instructors are eligible for supplemental gas for school activities. The gasoline board meets Wednesdays at 7 30 PM in the Ration office. truck owners must apply at the Triple A office in Delphi for appeal blanks. A state office representative will meet with truck owners January 11 at the AAA office.

Camden Town Council organize new year business post

At the Camden Town Council meeting on January 4 the council reorganized to conduct town business for the year. A. E. Tesh was elected president with members Dr B C Kerkhove Harold Baker and Marshall Wingard as town clerk. T. H. Leslie named Town Marshall and Water Co superintendent to fill Caldwell vacancy. Harold Wyatt appointed Fire Chief of the Camden Volunteer Fire Company to complete the roster.

The Selective Service Bureau announced that all men aged 18 to 45 subject to registration for six months or more must carry their classification cards after February 1, along with their original registration certificates. The rule excludes those aged 45 to 65 at registration. Delinquents who fail to communicate with local boards for classification by February 1 will face penalties.

Death of Mrs. William Musselman at 76 in Camden area

Mrs. William Musselman, 76, died at her home after a ten day illness of uremic poisoning. She and husband Dan Dilling lived on a farm northwest of Ockfield until after his death. Survived by five children: Ella Flora, Mary Lieber, Bessie Dilling, Wilbur Dilling, Elmer Dilling. Funeral Friday at the Church of the Brethren northeast of Monticello with burial beside the church cemetery.
