Mro and Mrs John Q Al Callane marked their golden wedding anniversary at the home of their daughter Mrs Loren Chithick in Flora. Married in Veedersburg Indiana in 1883 they made their home in Flora and nearby. They have two children Hazel Thomas who died in 1909 Ora Carrion Pasadena California and Sylvia Bland Kokomo plus four foster grandchildren and two grand children Minnie Lou and John Chittick. Both are Church of the Brethren members and in good health as Mr Callane is almost 79 and his wife seven years younger.

The Carroll County Farm Record Group was organized at a Delphi meeting on Saturday December 30. County Agent Ralph Maggart announced the purpose of keeping farm records for the year 1931 with opening and closing inventories and a two dollar fee covering the record book and Purdue University Farm Management services. Officers elected were Webb Robeson as chairman and John Peterson as secretary treasurer. A January meeting in Camden was planned to set inventories and discuss the record book. Members already paying include Frank Hedderich R. J. Maggart Webb Robeson W F Peterson and Sons Carlyle Humes Fred Hershberger Clauser and Johnson Walter Barnhart Earl Newell Elmer G Reiff and Son and Miles T. Martin.
