Rockfield residents report illness and recovery while neighbors visit. Delph i shoppers and family visits fill weekend hours as Merle Landis takes over the Rockfield telephone exchange. Fern McCarty returns from Hanover College and plans June commencement.
Mrs Lula Snoeberger Grites of Chicago, wife of Judge Crites, underwent a serious operation last Tuesday and remains in critical condition. Miss Ruth Snoeberger is visiting with her sisters for several days.
Mr and Mrs Floyd Harmon and family of Flora were dinner guests of Mr and Mrs Thomas Starkey. Miss Cleo Thomas of Logansport and Mr and Mrs Roy Green and baby were evening guests.
Mr and Mrs Willard Veach and son Billy Joe with Mr and Mrs Chas Veach attended a birthday dinner Thursday at the home of Mr and Mrs Harry.
Bowen of Logansport, parents of Mr and Mrs Willard Veach. Mrs Eliza Jane Friend, who fell and broke her hip, is confined to Cass county hospital and in fairly good condition. A card to Mrs Dee Cree concerns Mrs Chas Bechtel ill in Kokomo hospital under care of Dr Flora and two private nurses.
