The Carroll County Chapter of American War Mothers will meet at the Court House in Delphi on Tuesday February 9. A George Washington program is planned for the afternoon. Attendees should bring lunch and table service.
The Rockfield P T A met at the school with junior and senior orchestras performing under Carl McCain and a program including a reading by Wilma Jean Flora. Mrs. John Callendar chaired a landscaping report and plans for beautifying the grounds. C A Smith from Delphi spoke on Building Citizenship with seven fundamentals. The next meeting is set for February 18 with a Washington program.
Mr and Mrs Curtis McCain visited Indianapolis on business for the Camden and Owens Lumber Co. Also noted is a Lambrin Navajo crafts scene including rug making silversmith work and sand paintings tied to New Mexico and the Albuquerque area.

The day included a chicken dinner and a dance with performances by Gene and Betty Dyer and a one act play Joint Lovers in Spain. All enjoyed Sunshine songs and planned to meet next year.
Mrs Sarah Ellen Sibbitt, aged 82 years 7 months 22 days, died recently. Her granddaughter and daughter attended the funeral held at Ball Hill church with a service at 2:90 PM and burial in Ball Hill cemetery. This grandmother helped cook for workers who built Ball Hill church many years ago. We miss her deeply.
Mrs Magie F Cline signs off after six years as postmistress in the town. Samuel Lee Sink is appointed to fill the remaining unexpired term.
Members of the Senior Bible class at the Lower Deer Creek Church of the Brethren enjoyed an oyster supper at the home of Mr and Mrs Will Momgen Tuesday night Mae L. 1.
The Fidelis Class of the Baptist Sunday School held a chili supper Friday at the chapel with 32 attendees. Officers elected during the business session include President Mildred Allen Vice President Elsie Sink Secretary Treasurer Anna Martin Teacher Mrs Bender Assistant Teacher Curtis McCain.
Indiana club women organize state district and county chairs to aid the blind. Mrs Arthur Bacon Mishawaka heads state relations with district chair Mrs Harold Baker Camden Ninth and Miss Ruth Beard Rossville Carroll county. The 1932 plan promotes handwork sales and blind employment, urges club programs on sight saving and blindness, notes free Braille books from the state library, and supports towel exhibits at spring conventions under the Buy a Towel and Sell a Towel slogan.
Twenty members of the Home Economics club met at Mrs. Fred Case's home for an all day session to sew bedding and clothing for needy township families. They plan another all day meeting on Thursday February 4 at Mrs. Carl Raber's home with members to bring covered dishes sandwiches service and sewing equipment.
John W Bowman born near Camden April 26 1949 died in Camden February 2 1932 at 82 years 9 months 6 days. He joined St Peter s Lutheran Camden March 28 1891 and served in many roles. He married Mrs Brances Guard January 12 1898. she died August 19 1927. Sister Jane Hanaway survives in Los Angeles. Funeral held Thursday at 2 00 from St Peter s Lutheran Church with Rev Elmer Kahl.
Emanuel Fife died last Saturday at his son Lesters home after a short pneumonia illness. Born in Cass county in September 1859 he was 72 years old. He married Emma Garrison and had five children Luther Joe Sylvester Gertrude Arthur Lester and fourteen grandchildren. He left three brothers and was a Flora Baptist church member. Mrs Fife preceded him twelve years ago. Funeral at Flora Baptist church Monday at 10 30 PM conducted by Dr J W Clevenger with Rev Ankrum. Interment Maple Lawn cemetery.
Camden M E Church led by Rev F H Collier holds Sunday school at 9 30 A M with Mrs Zetta Cole as superintendent. Morning worship begins at 10 30 A M followed by an official board meeting on the second Tuesday of each month.
Alumni from Carroll County travel to Indianapolis for the inauguration of Dr. Walter Athearn as Butler University eleventh president. The event coincides with Founders Day and draws hundreds of alumni faculty and educators from 110 institutions. An academic procession with 500 participants precedes the ceremonies at the Butler Field House with remarks from Dr. John H. Finley and Bishop Edwin H. Hughes.

Fifth grade room 5 produced several top scores. The Junior English club of grade 6 met Jan 28 with jokes and officers elected Thelma Snoeberger chairman Abner Hoff secretary Paul Bechdolt Omer Hicks Chester Brovont.

The seventh grade English club met Friday January 26 with roll call and minutes. The program featured a story a reading from The Wizard of Oz by Dora Lee Kennedy a poem by Howard Crumpacker a biography of Richard Lion Heart and short story by Alice Louise Cree.
Walton topped the Red Devils 30 to 15 after leading 16 to 1 at halftime. The Camden squad struggled in the small gym but battled hard in a clean game. Larimore led Camden with nine points while Layman scored twelve for Walton.
The Ladies Home Economics club fed 109 individuals last Wednesday January 27.
The schedule announces South Bound Star Route at 6:00 A M and North Bound Star Route at 9:30 A M. North Bound Fast line at 1:00 P M and South Bound Train No 320 at 7:50 P M. Post office opens 6:00 A M to receive mail. Officials say star route times will be fixed after initial runs. This improves local mail service.
