Samuel Stephens a 78 year old Carroll county farmer died at his home on state road No 29 seven miles south of Logansport at 6 30 Saturday morning He was a member of a pioneer family and had lived in the community all his life Surviving are his widow a son Fred and a brother Lincoln Stephens The funeral was at Mt Pisgah Lutheran church at 130 Monday afternoon with Rev Carl Sorenson in charge and burial followed in the adjoining cemetery

Mrs Lydia Eikenberry died early Saturday at her Long Beach California home. Born and raised in Camden she leaves husband and son Dr Kenneth Eikenberry of Long Beach a brother Leonard of Covena Gal and two brothers Maryn and Andrew of Camden plus other relatives. Andrew Wise left Camden to attend the funeral.
