Rock Creek Farm Bureau Meeting Set With Wiring Prize

REMC members in Rock Creek Township are urged to attend the Rockfield school house meeting on April 8 where a free house and barn wiring job will be awarded to a participant. At Carrollton township on April 1 over 150 members gathered for a Rural Electrification event. A A Gillam won a free wiring job with Judson Sterrett and George Hood as alternates. The series continues across townships with Clay April 12 Adams April 13 Burlington April 14 Democrat April 15.

U. S Standing Army at Fort Harrison Moves Units for War Readiness

The U S Army at Fort Benjamin Harrison Indiana has 2500 enlisted men with the 11th infantry and 19th field artillery motorized. Units travel in long convoys to test movement and keep civilian travel smooth in peace. The staff aims to minimize illness and losses and keep plans ready for war. Vacancies exist and young men may apply at army recruiting offices in Indianapolis Evansville Fort Wayne Terre Haute or Louisville.
