O’Brien Re elected Boston Mayor in Tuesday Vote
Hugh O'Brien was again elected mayor of Boston last Tuesday with 24,37 votes. Hart received 18,719 and McNeill 5,661, McNeill’s tally far under estimates. The city approved license by a 1,000 majority.

Maine Central Railroad Officers Elected at Annual Meeting
The Maine Central Railroad held its annual meeting on Wednesday electing officers including Directors Arthur Sewall Geo Lord Manes Paul Win Davis Frank James Lane Lawrence dahon Ware Nathaniel Bradlee Josiah Drummond and Francis Wo Hil with Clerk Josiah Drummond. Reported gross receipts reached 8 000 000 with net earnings up by 100 000. Express service to Boston and Portland recommended to handle summer traffic. New rolling stock and repair shops needed and a Portland panion station expected. Total road mileage and passenger numbers up and Freight traffic up by 741 000 tons.

Case of Captain Duliker On Cria Porrnasp Deed
In the U S District Court Hugh McGivern Lawrence Nell John Barnes and Willan M McNally sailors on the bark M F Cain arriving from Buenos Ayres last Friday charged Captain J R Dorkee and the second mate with extreme cruelty. The captain answered while the others were missing. Sailors testified of kicking bruising and maltreatment during the voyage forcing them from berths when sick and causing injuries requiring hospital care. Edwin Sparrows drowned after leaping overboard. They say they were forced aboard at Buenos Ayres threatened with death if they resisted and locked in the forecastle until leaving port. Damages sought total 1600.

The sloop Little Netlie, taken from Mr William Clark of Seat Harbor, has been recovered. Lone Tahal and Prank Gutter repaired a section of his house, improving its appearance. High and Intermediate schools in the district closed. Mrs Water Green, Mrs Agnes Bartlett and Miss Maud Sweetland taught. A cold wave arrived signaling cold weather. Joseph Starley went to Boston for the winter. Knox Hall entertainment by High school scholars featured "Beauty and the Beast" with declamation and music. the program was well received. Something over 825 was raised. receipts would have been larger on a nicer night.
