Emergency Crop Loan Bureau Provides Aid To Shore Farmers

The Emergency Crop Loan Bureau announces 1916 loans for Eastern Shore farmers hit by drought or flood. Maryland farmers, led by C Ray Hare in Salisbury, receive about 100000 in checks, with 70 percent repaid on the Shore and 90 percent statewide. Loans finance seed, fertilizer, gas, oil, and overalls but not cars or Sunday suits.
