The piece urges voters to back public works and tax relief while criticizing government waste. It notes $2,000,000 spent on streets, $1,000,000 on water, and $3,000,000 on new buildings, plus welfare costs and tax losses, yet reports a $3.70 tax rate reduction. It calls for consolidating 35 departments into six divisions to cut costs and frames the election as PEOPLE versus SELFISH POLITICIANS.
