The thirteenth National Encampment of the Jewish War Veterans of the United States conferred honorary membership on Francis J. Roche at New Britain Connecticut. The award followed a June Massachusetts resolution and cites Roche for devoted public services. The Boston State Encampment recommendation preceded the national honor with plans to medal Roche publicly.
The Cambridge Post of the Sons of the V. F. W. will hold its first installation of officers and initiate members on Friday at 8 PM September 14 at 595 Massachusetts Avenue Cambridge. State Commander Francia Cotter and State Director of Junior Activities A. J. Rock will officiate. The public is invited and the charter remains open for eligible veterans to join.
