Sixteen Nurses Receive Diplomas At Cambridge Hospital
On Monday evening October 22 1934 Cambridge City Hospital held its graduation exercises at the Nurses Home on Cambridge Street. Dr Donald E Currier urged the 16 graduates to pursue decent income with service to the city hospital.

City Council Vetoes Transit Complaint and Approves Several Transfers
City Council met briefly as members avoided debate. The mayor vetoed an order to have the city solicitor appear before the Public Utilities Department over Cambridge street trolley service. The veto was tabled. Several departmental transfers and two $150 Welfare Department appropriations were approved. A $50,000 street construction loan passed without discussion. An ERA project would raze Brattle Square City Building to repurpose bricks for a new incinerator at Raymond Street Park.
