Charles F. Hurley operates real estate and mortgage services at 276 Commonwealth Avenue Boston offering property insurance and lending assistance.
Mr. Charles H. Porter of the F. BR. League Advisory Council and ex‑controller of W. H. McElwain Company will be treasurer. Prof Oliver M Sprague of Tech is committee chair. The group includes James T Barrett, Alexander H Bill, and Arthur P Schmidt among others.
Cambridge Democrats urge voters to back Democratic names amid Plan E push by Cambridge Republicans and Harvard to control city affairs. They criticize Plan F E slate as lacking in proven leadership and support outsider appointees for city manager.
Robert R Duncan succeeds Walter F Earle as president after a meeting of Harvard Trust Company directors. Duncan is a director and active in bank committees and a member of the Boston law firm Goodwin Proctor Hoar. Earle remains chairman of the board and executive committee.
