Friel Elected President of Red Cross First Aid Instructors Club
Lieut. G H Friel of the Rescue Company Cambridge Fire Dept was elected president of the American Red Cross First Aid Instructors Club. The first meeting was held at Red Cross headquarters Commonwealth Ave Boston with ambitious plans to spread First Aid and teach courses in Metropolitan Boston. Several groups are represented by members though Cambridge police dept is not.

Quorumless Library Trustees Meet At Main Library
Last Friday night three trustees Wood Cronin and Costello met at the main library for the regular monthly meeting. They raised salaries created a new position and did all business as though a majority were present. D. A. Buckley was absent. The other three have not attended meetings since Mayor Lynch refused to recognize a city solicitor ruling that the January nominees were legally chosen for 1986. The three say majority meetings are irregular.
