Fres. Gibson on the City Council moved to have the City Solicitor issue an opinion about the legality of the ordinance that creates a Deputy Police Chief position.
The License Board heard opposition from residents led by Margaret E. Harney of 219 Concord Avenue to the Lebowich Family Trust request for reinstating a gas station license at 199 to 211 Concord Avenue. The plan would permit a second class garage for one car and storage of 3000 gallons of petroleum products. Clergy and residents cited safety concerns and urged delaying action until Rev. Dr. John J. Murphy returns.
