Kiwanis Cambridge Dinner Dance Installs Officers

The Kiwanis Club of Cambridge held its annual dinner dance at Hotel Continental on the 10th anniversary of its founding and the 20th of Kiwanis International. Despite a severe blizzard, over 100 attendees enjoyed performances by the Arlmont Quartet Benedict Fitzgerald and Tom Quinn. Speeches by Walter Ingram Chicago Steven R. Dow Brookline Lieut Governor Spin Wunderland Arlington and New England district Governor James P. Gallagher Boston preceded the installation by Gallagher. Additional entertainment featured Thomas Wall and Edson Kimball.

Cambridge Library Trustees elect Julia T Boyle as chairman

The Cambridge Public Library Trustees held their annual officer election Monday night. Mrs Julia T Boyle was chosen president unanimously after votes from Collier Mahoney and Dr Young. Dr Costello was named treasurer and Neil Cronin secretary. Mr Wood left early for a school committee meeting. A special meeting will be called early next week to plan the year.
