The president’s radio address urges national sacrifice and the Cambridge City Council is urged to rescind last Monday’s vote granting a $4 000 top salary. Ex Mayor Lynch condemns the move as predatory and calls for leadership with public faith and character.
City Mgr Atkinson moves to pro tem quarters in the Public Library on Broadway seeking isolation and study. In City Council hall a.m. Monday the first Plan E PR inaugural ceremony took place in New England. City Clerk Frederick H. Burke opened the historic room and Rev Fr John A Butler gave a morning prayer before Burke administered the oath to each councillor.
