Christmas Eve Held in Stable by a Faulted Church
A fire destroyed the Jackson Avenue Methodist church on December 24 forcing Christmas Eve services to be held in an old deserted stable nearby. Despite initial hardships, the congregation prepared the space with a stove and chairs, and the service proceeded with a young author reading a Christmas story and an accordionist leading hymns. The night ended with solemn prayers and the crowd singing Silent Night and All Hail Emmanuel as moonlight filled the stable. The two boys who reported the fire earlier attended the impromptu pageant rehearsal and stayed for the service.

Selection of Gifts Rates as Real Art
Gift giving should go beyond obligation and focus on meaningful, well chosen items. Gifts like educational books and practical tools uplift recipients, while thoughtless presents waste resources and misread needs. Prioritize usefulness, taste, and consideration of what the recipient already owns. Refrain from impractical or generic gifts and seek gifts that inspire and assist personal growth.
