Four year old Joseph Vas Toste died on the roof of his home at 150 Fifth Street East Cambridge while attempting to fasten a hammock to a chimney. A weak brick pile collapsed burying him as playmates watched in horror. His parents, alerted by the children, found him dead beneath the ruins.
Riverside Boat Club captured five of six events at the Charles River regatta on Saturday. Clarey Faulkner, son of George Faulkner, won the junior single from five entrants. The senior four junior four intermediate eight and senior eight all won prizes. the senior eight sails to Philadelphia today to contend for the national championship.

Reedy received a silver loving cup from the lodge and thanked the group for rising from the bottom to the top of the Grand Lodge.
The Tuesday morning alarm from box 115 signaled a fire in the machine shop at Blake's pump works. There was no damage and no injuries reported.
