First Annual Dinner of the Cambridge Utilities Gun Club

Members of the Cambridge Electric Gas companies staff gathered in the Cambridge Central Square Gas building basement on Thursday at 6 50 for supper by Eay Churchill and social chat. Prizes included gold silver and bronze medals and ammunition. Matches were held at the M L T Range with advice from Major K B Lawton and Sergeant 5 L Frey.

Cambridge Knights of Columbus Banquet Marks 45th Birthday

Cambridge Council Knights of Columbus held its 45th birthday banquet at the Continental on Thursday night. Director William J. Watts earned praise for diligence while toastmaster G K Jos Crowley spoke briefly. Supreme Knight Martin H. Carmody urged a return to the moral values advocated by the Church as guiding life. Monsignor Aug F Hickey, Council Chaplain, spoke on moral responsibility. Six surviving charter members were present along with numerous guests. The two Cambridge council bodies had merged a decade earlier to unify K of C efforts in the city.
