Contested Gift Claim For Cambridge Highway Funds

Supt. Bill McMenimen asserts State Public Works Commr. Callahan agreed to a $100,000 gift for Cambridge highway construction from the gasoline tax fund. The plan aimed to cover resurfacing costs after removing El car tracks on Concord Huron Aberdeen avenues and Garden St. Callahan reportedly denied the gift in a later published notice.
