Hendricks Club Notes From Local Democratic Scene
A large Hendricks club delegation led by President Tom Duris attended games between the Douglas and Jackson clubs at the Douglas club rooms last Thursday. Duris challenged the Douglas club to a rematch and members including Tom McDermott and Dave Hanlon back the policy of striking while the iron is hot. Hanlon, Musical Director, plans an anvil chorus for the glee club, while some members doubt the tune. McDermott and Hanlon are slated as cribbage champs for an upcoming tournament. Towle and Duris will defend the club in high-low. Fall registration work aims to boost voting strength for the Democratic party as eligible men are identified for next winter’s victory.
