James W. Carpenter, already receiver of the First National Bank and Trust Co. of Kokomo, is appointed receiver for Citizens National Bank and Howard National Bank of Kokomo and the First National Bank of Russiaville. He will base in Kokomo from Sept 30 and continue overseeing four banks plus Lake Whehi, with liquidation to follow. His selection by Comptroller T J O Connor follows 93 percent payment status and lengthy service.
