McLear Reunion Held at Glen Miller Park with Local Attendees
The third annual McLear descendants reunion gathered at Glen Miller Park Richmond on Sunday September 1 with a large Arcanum Ohio contingent. Officers were reelected Leonard McLear president Garland McLear secretary treasurer. The 1936 reunion is planned near Arcanum Ohio the Sunday before Labor Day. Two Wayne county students Arnold Bachmann and Lucille Spacy earned admission cards to Indiana University joining sixteen others.

A chart based on Travelers Insurance findings shows death rates in autos rose 81 percent for all ages from 1922 to 1933. Deaths in ages 5 to 9 fell 25 percent, 10 to 14 rose 8 percent, while ages 15 to 19 jumped 130 percent and 20 to 24 increased even more. High schools extending safety courses are urged to curb future fatalities.
