Milton beat a colored team from New Castle 22 to 13 on Sunday. Local notes report obituaries for Albert Cutler and Ralph Gentry, and various community updates including schooling, business activity, and social events across Centerville and Cambridge City.
Joe Brooks represented Jackson lodge at the grand lodge this week. Mrs. Della Brooks represents the Rebekahs at the grand lodge this week. Blose and family of Centerville visited Mr. and Mrs. John Kiser. Joe Kinninger, at Rochester MN for foot treatment, is progressing well. Raymond Roth and family of Hagerstown visited his sister, Mrs. Hugh Fagan. Memorial exercises will be held Sunday afternoon with a good speaker and Pershing band. Epworth League of Richmond performs Thursday night with a 30 member cast. Earlham orchestra will play.
Royal Purple degree conferred on a candidate during the encampment meeting Saturday evening. Rev Geiger traveled to Indianapolis to move his wife from a private to a general hospital for an operation. Mr and Mrs P R Gipe plan to attend commencement at Weidner Institute Mulberry Ind where their daughter Louise will graduate from the junior college the first week in June. A mother and daughter banquet at the Lutheran parish house next Saturday evening draws much attention with Mrs Murray a visiting missionary to speak.
John Fagan of Huntington visited his father here Sunday. Ward Elzey and family from Indianapolis visited Mr and Mrs Frank Clark. The Huber family reunion is set for Sunday June 1 at Sam Kinsinger’s home. Two youth thieves who broke into Harry Parker’s store were arrested near Lewisville and taken to Ohio for automobile theft.
Henry Stark reports that two Canada geese captured in 1885 near Chickamoo ga islands Chesapeake Bay have lived with Stark family members on their farms. The birds, now aged 67, remain vigorous and may support claims that wild geese live to a century.
At Pratt Kansas state fish hatchery electric lights lure moths and other insects to the pond edges. Insects gather on the water surface where fish quickly feed on them. The method uses large bulbs to draw the prey and supply food for the fish.

Curtis C. Chase 36 of Cambridge City Indiana died May 17 1924 after a long battle with poor health. He was born September 13 1887 in Pershing Indiana married Fern B Allen December 25 1907 and had three children John Wesley Ruby B and Margarite. He was a barber a member of the Odd Fellows and Masons and a devoted Cambridge City Christian Church member. Funeral at the Christian church conducted by Rev McCormick with burial in Lutheran cemetery.
Milton residents observe Memorial Day on May 30 at 2 p.m. with services at the Christian church. Harry D. Michaels of Crawfordsville will deliver the address, and a community chorus will provide music. A procession forms at the church for Westside Cemetery and exercises at the soldiers' monument. War veterans and war mothers are asked to meet in the church basement before services and march into the church.
Mrs. Perry Enyeart of Lewisville Indiana aged 62 regained sight two days after visiting Prof. Ricker for neuritis. Despite blindness from cataract and rheumatism she reports better vision, no rheumatism, and restored enjoyment of life. James Burchnell of Muncie Indiana recounts a three month malaria siege that dropped his weight from 142 to 96 pounds and 52 days in hospital. He credits Tanlac with rebuilding his strength appetite and energy allowing him to work full days and feel well again. Tanlac is sold by druggists with over 40 million bottles sold.

Notice from Wayne County Indiana announces that Albert Russell Crockett was appointed by the Wayne Circuit Court as the executor of the estate of Simeon Crockett, deceased. The estate in Wayne County is stated to be solvent, with A. J. Feemster as attorney.
