Local Social Roundup At Richmond And Nearby Towns

Local residents including Mrs. Dean House Mrs. Edith Scott and Mr and Mrs B F Drischel with Will Drischel of Richmond visited Leo House at Indiana University Bloomington Saturday. Numerous guests attended dinners and bridge parties across Greensfork Hagerstown Indianapolis and Richmond with Earlham College students visiting family members and hospitals reporting steady improvement of Charles Kerlin.

Local residents return from visits and recoveries

Mrs. James Peacock and companions returned to New York Monday after ten days with Mrs. James McCaffrey and the Ludingtons. Mrs. Howard Elliott came home Sunday after a week with the Hollowells and relatives. Mrs. Stanley Scheidler likewise returned from Indianapolis where she had an operation three weeks earlier and is improving rapidly. Her children and cousin Nellie Lott stayed to help, Nellie from Indianapolis will remain a few weeks. W A Kiser, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Kiser, earned high honors in Domestic Engineering Magazine for May for his role in the Colorado Society of Sanitary and Heating Engineers convention in Denver April 23–24.

Local Weddings Celebrated in Alexandria Gatherings

Mr and Mrs R B Grigsby and families and others traveled to Alexandria Sunday to mark wedding anniversaries of Ted Davidson and Grigsby and Copeland couples. A cooperative dinner followed at noon and evening. Ted Davidson Lumber Co nears completion of new yard buildings and plans showrooms. Miss Hilda Fetters will depart after assisting Mr Lamm at the local Lumber Co.

May Haworth Sells National Road Homestead Property

Miss May Haworth sells her residence on the south side of the National road east of a creek near twenty acres. The Samuel K. Hoshour homestead, built before the Civil War, changes hands to U. Z. who bought the niece. The property is described as desirable.
