Mrs Worl was elected to membership at the Helen Hunt club gathering hosted by Mrs Alvin Bertser in Louisville. Mrs George Callaway gave a report on the Wayne County Federation of Cubs convention held in Economy on March 20. Miss Mary Overbeck spoke on the Federal government and current conditions while Albert Ferris presented on Our State Government and recent constitutional reorganizations.
T W Davidson and family of Southport visited I J L Harmeier and family Saturday night and Sunday. Donald and Robert Davidson joined Robert Harmeier and the Junior play cast to Earlham college for a campus performance. The Davidson and Harmeier families later visited Dale Ellsbury Sunday afternoon and dined with Roy Copeland and mother Lottie Copeland Sunday evening.
The Social Union of the M k church will meet at Mrs. George Cala way’s home on Tuesday afternoon April 2. Miss Ruth Faucett was taken to Henry County hospital Saturday afternoon for an emergency appendectomy operation.
Miss Dorothy Fulton spent the weekend in Indianapolis with friends. Richard Myers spent the past week in Muncie with his sister Ruth Stephens. Carl Oldham and a family moved from the Coney property on Church street to the property of Mrs Nellie Sloniker. Mr and Mrs Richard Smith and mother Mrs Fola Smith moved to Indianapolis Monday. Mrs Lorin Ulrich has returned from a visit with her sister and family in Dayton Ohio. Charles Shaffer and daughter visited relatives in New Castle last Sunday.
Miss Lucile Pritchard will host a surprise Psilotani sorority meeting at her Church street home Monday evening of next week. Plans and committees emerged from a Wednesday luncheon and inspection at Mrs. John Mckee’s home for a May commencement. A notable early spring luncheon bridge was hosted by Mrs. Paul Hill on Lincoln Drive. Services and scores were arranged for Mesdames Martindale, Smith, Krone, Snyder, Curlett, Kinsinger, Wheeler and Winks.
Mr and Mrs Arthur Cornthwaite and Mr and Mrs Earl Clevenger spent Sunday in Anderson and Liwood with relatives and friends.
Mrs Forrest Hall entertained as bridge guests on Wednesday with Mesdames James Butler, George Wheeler, Russell Chapman, Charles Lowry, Moe Kinley Leapley, Earl Clevenger and John Kinsinger attending.
Sunday visitors included Mr and Mrs Carrol Leisure Mr and Mrs Earl Tweedy Mr and Mrs Henry Addison all of Hanagan and Mr and Mrs John Timmons and baby Mr and Mrs Earl Mitchener of Richmond who joined Mr and Mrs Wm Clapper. Mrs Dean House hosted a birthday dinner for Mrs B F Drischel with Mr and Mrs Drischel Mr and Mrs WJ Drischel Leo House and Mrs Savannah Hiser in attendance.
Mrs Harry Medsker has entertained as her guest for the past week her sister from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, returning to her home after a short visit.
Mr and Mrs W E Call of Indianapolis were weekend guests of Mr and Mrs Fred Masterson. Masterson accompanied them home Monday morning and received final instructions on Health Mor electric cleaners to represent the Health Mor Co covering a large territory.
The Women’s Conference of the East Central Association meets at the Baptist church on Wednesday April 3. Delegates come from Connersville Rushville First Baptist and Calvary Baptist Richmond New Castle and Cambridge City. Mrs Lowell Larrabee of Rushville presides. State president Mrs C Trent Indianapolis Miss Myrtle Huckleberry Franklin and Mrs Russell Smith Lebanon attend with W W G director and a returned missionary to present. A cooperative noon dinner and a 530 cooperative supper follow for those staying for the Guild Rally. Mrs Clifford Jacobs serves as associational secretary and oversees the program.
The Organized Bible Study class of the Methodist church will hold two spring carnivals in the church basement on Wednesday evening April 3 at 7:30 p m. Beeson sisters singing will headline along with a radio show fish pond fortune telling booths and home made ice cream candy and popcorn. A small admission charge will be made.

Mr and Mrs Jesse Kellum sold their farm to see Martindale and left Saturday for a new home in Phoenix Arizona en route visiting Kellum's sisters in Spiceland and Knightstown and their son in Indianapolis and three brothers in Camby.
