The W. R. C postpones its regular meeting due to Good Friday. Officers request all members to note the new date next Friday April 1. Initiatory work and a Grant birthday commemoration program will be presented, sponsored by patriotic instructor Mrs Craw ora.
Mrs Hugh Morris hosted a St Patrick's luncheon and party assisted by daughter Maxine last Thursday March 17 at their National Road West home. Guests enjoyed green and white decorations, green candles, a shamrock centerpiece, Irish songs by Mrs Roy Adams and Genevieve Riser, and an Irish joke contest followed by bridge and games.
Neva Paul of Muncie spent the weekend with family and friends at her hometown.
Malcolm Heiser of Richmond spent the weekend with his grandmother Mrs Otillia Heiser, sharing time and family moments away from regular routines.
Mrs. George Babcock of Richmond and Mrs. Carl Boyd of Fort Wayne visited among their many friends here Sunday.

Mrs G D Ford once Edith Morgan of this city has shown improvement after a month of serious illness. Her condition had been serious but is now better.

Uriah Bertsch of the Indiana Fire and Cyclone Co. states he has paid the $400 policy in full on the household goods of Vesper Richardson damaged by recent fire. The note corrects a prior item published last week about the loss.
Mr and Mrs Bert Brown of Munice Mrs Inez Mayes and three sons of Lorraine Ohio were Sunday guests of Mrs Helen Kuster and other relatives here.

Mr and Mrs Frank Middleton and Mrs Elizabeth Wagner spent the weekend with Mr and Mrs G D Ford in Indianapolis. Mrs Ford has been quite ill but is slowly improving now.

Pleasant Hill offers an early Easter service with a sermon at nine followed by Bible school. Germantown holds Bible school at nine thirty and an Easter program at ten thirty. No evening service. Both join Good Friday union services at Cambridge City Methodist church. Cottage prayers meet Wednesdays. Easter market held by church ladies at nine Saturday morning.

The Easter cantata Christ Victorious will be performed Sunday at four o clock in the Lincoln High School auditorium by about 175 students from both junior and senior high. The program features full choruses, quartets and solos with names of participants and groups listed, and no admission charge. A book fund will be available for those who wish to contribute to defray cantata book expenses.
Property owners on Lincoln Drive present a petition to the Town Board requesting hard surface paving for Leek Street. The road serves traffic to Hagerstown and access to Riverside cemetery.

Martin L Bowmaster 79 died at his Cincinnati home on Tuesday morning March 22 He was born February 15 1853 in Strasburg Lancaster County Pa taught school in his youth worked in Cambridge City grain and drug businesses and served on the Cambridge City council and as justice of the peace He married Florence Enyeart in 1880 had son Raymond who died in 1900 widowed later by Anna Wetzel He was an Odd Fellows member and survived by his widow two sisters and a brother Funeral service at Wiseman’s Funeral Home with burial in Riverside.
Among many friends and relatives at Mrs. Don Drischel's funeral Sunday were W A Bertsch and wife of South Bend Joe Bertsch and daughters of Salem Wm Reiser and daughter Eva Warren Reiser of Hamilton Mrs Carl Boyd Fr Wayne H G Bradley and Richard Hiatt of Indianapolis and Dr D S Wiggans of New Castle The presence of these relatives from afar marked the service.
The obituary notes Mr Dean who had ties to the Bible Institute in Los Angeles and was an active elder in the United Presbyterian church. Survived by daughter Mrs Dorothy Dean Beaumont and grandchildren Phyllis and Dean residing at 1809 Oak Street Los Angeles.
Mrs Allison Beard Bradbury aged 38 died March 17 at her Muncie home. Survived by two children Bert and Jane. Former Cambridge City residents, children born there. She was aunt to Mrs Frank Ohmit Mrs Mae Pelton and Miss Alice Bradbury of this city.
Charles Loeb Dean House Byron Stratton and John Mannon motored to New Castle Monday night to attend the inspection of the Masonic lodge.

Ward reports the death of Beaty Dean a former Cambridge City resident at his Los Angeles home. He and his father J C Dean ran a Cambridge City drug business for years in the space vacated by Walter Waddell. Dean later operated a chain of drug stores in Los Angeles and Santa in 1912 he retired from the drug busi.
Mrs Elizabeth Drischel aged 40 died last Thursday in New Castle after a long illness. She was born in Cambridge City, lived eighteen years in the community, and leaves husband Don Drischel daughter Ida Catherine son John two brothers William A Bertsch South Bend and Joseph L Bertsch Salem and brother-in-law Gresham Drischel. She belonged to Zion's Evangelical Lutheran church Pershing and the Help One Another club. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Lutheran church led by Rev W E Allen and burial followed in the adjoining cemetery.
Leroy Lamberson also known as Carl aged 69 died at his Mulberry street home after a short illness. He was a retired farmer and member of the Christian church in Straughn. Survived by widow Beulah two daughters Viola Snyder Bentonville Mildred Kiser this city two sons Arthur Bentonville Raymond this city one sister Alvina Spencer Bentonville two brothers Santford this city Bird Dublin burial in Riverside cemetery with Rev C Hoffer Palestine Ohio officiated by Rev F C McCormick.
Miss Marjorie Ault aged 18 daughter of Mr and Mrs Harry B Ault of Chicago died from a cerebral hemorrhage at Greencastle county hospital on Friday March 18. She was a DePauw University freshman and Alpha Chi Omega pledge. Survived by parents a brother and sister both DePauw graduates. Funeral services were held at her parents Chicago home.
James R Harrell 78, of Dublin, died at home Sunday night. Funeral held Wednesday at home with Ro Brown pastor U B Church. Burial in South Lawn cemetery. Survived by widow, two daughters Mrs. Stanley Aston Cincinnati and Mrs Edward McCarty Dublin, two sons William Cincinnati and John Columbus, Ohio, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two brothers William Cincinnati and John California, two sisters Mrs Sarah Huddleston Cambridge City and Mrs J F Ryan Orange.
William Kinsinger aged 68 died at his late brother Samuel Kinsinger home near Dublin Monday evening. He leaves two brothers John of Boston and Augustus of New Castle and a sister Miss Elizabeth Kinsinger. Funeral services set for Thursday at 10 30 am at the home with Rev W H Harrison in charge. Burial will be in the Lutheran cemetery at Pershing.
Mrs Statira Murley 83 widow of J B Murley died Sunday morning at her Milton residence after ten days of pneumonia. She was born near Greenfield to David Pochlan and lived in Milton most of her life. Surviving are two sons Owen Murley Garrett and Alfred J Murley Anderson, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren, a niece and a sister. Services were held at the M E church with Rev Rose officiating and burial at West Side.
Mrs. Ethel Ohmit Bradford died at Connersville hospital after a lingering illness. She leaves daughter Lillian, brother Lawrence of Mattoon Illinois, three sisters Elizabeth Smith Nellie Cully of Richmond and Edith Ocker of New Castle. She was the daughter of the late William Ohmit of Milton and widow of Will Bradford. Funeral services were held at Myers undertaking parlors Connersville led by Rev F C McCormick. Interment in Westside cemetery Milton.
Mrs. Carolyn Poff reports the death of C Wood Hubbell at his Roanoke Illinois home on January 11. Survived by his wife and many children. A former local resident Hubbell lived about 25 years in Illinois and was a prominent dentist with offices in the Clark building.
Miss Bernice Baynes and Eugene Diffenderfer were in Indianapolis on Saturday for unspecified activities.
