D A R Chapter Welcomes New Member at Capitol Hill Meeting
Mrs. Ora Dunbar of Centerville was received into membership of the National Old Trails chapter D A R at the meeting hosted by Mrs. M H Gaar on Capitol Hill. Ed Beeson reported on the Columbia club council meeting held in Indianapolis March 2. The chapter planned a display of student made craft from Tamassee mountain school South Carolina. A death notice for Mrs Mary Poole Newsome of Gibson Georgia was read. Mrs Gaar discussed restoring youth morale and urged Christian leadership. Refreshments were served by Mrs Gaar and Mrs Mary Julian for eighteen members. The chapter will host Guest Night Husband or Friend on April 20 at Mrs Russell Worl’s home.
