Dublin Friends church invites all music lovers to a Sunday 10 30 morning service in the study of Hymnology by Frederick Gillman an eminent English Friend touring the United States. He will interpret hymns in music and words including The Timeless Peace of God and God En throned in Light Eternal.
The Legion Auxiliary met in the Legion hall with committee reports. Edith Allen, legislative chair, reported replies from Senators Minton and Van Nuys and Rep Finly Gray on Legion sponsored bills. Ruth Reed and Lona Otte were named kitchen and dining room chairs for the 35 cent chicken supper on Thursday April 8.
Miss Lenore Shewman of Bloomington spent the weekend with her father Allan Shewman and family. Barbara Rowe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Rowe, was taken to Reid hospital Saturday for an x ray to locate a hair ribbon clasp she had swallowed. The clasp was removed without any ill effects. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Kennedy and family of Indianapolis spent Sunday with his sister Miss Margaret Kennedy.
Russell Sanford of Lexington Kentucky arrived Tuesday to stay several days with his parents Mr and Mrs Ben Sanford. He and Mrs Sanford will leave later this week to visit Mr and Mrs Harold Sanford in Elmhurst Illinois.
Mrs. Richard Smith of Indianapolis spent several days last week with her mother Mrs. Hattie Marson and other relatives.
Mr and Mrs Marcel Ammerman of West Manchester Ohio visited friends here Sunday. R Corwin Lamm of Anderson a Lincoln high school graduate and current DePauw law student is a member of the art class drafting the mural for the university centennial celebration.
Mr and Mrs Loring Cannon and their son Jackie Edward from New Castle were Sunday guests of Mr and Mrs Stanley Scheidler and family.
Rev. Frank C. Guyatt of Dublin Friends church spoke at the Economy Friends church on Wednesday night summarizing his delegate experience at North Manchester college last Friday and Saturday. Represented churches included the Church of the Brethren Mennonite and Friends.
Mrs. George Mulvane of Columbus Ohio joined a luncheon-bridge gathering hosted by Mrs. Harry Kuster last Thursday. Other guests included Mesdames K P Diffenderfer Russell Stonecipher Harry Bachmann Garland Lynam and Clarence Ingermann of Connersville.
Mrs. Frank Craig and Miss Irene Craig visited relatives in Indianapolis over the weekend. Brenton and Paul Harrison of Chicago and Wilbur Harrison of Indiana University stayed with their parents Rev. and Mrs. W. H. Harrison during the weekend visit.

Miss Mariam Geise of Milton and Ray Bertsch, son of Mr and Mrs Clinton Bertsch, married Saturday at the bride’s aunt and uncle’s home in Indianapolis. The double ring ceremony was conducted by Rev Alberts of Gethsemane Lutheran. The couple will live on a farm south of Pershing.
Mrs Harry Bachmann entertained about 500 guests Tuesday evening with Mesdames Russell Stonecipher Garland Lynam Horace Reed Clarence Whelan Harry Thompson Harry Kuster and Miss Charlotte Newman in attendance at the social gathering.

Pershing Indiana March 16 annual meeting of Lutheran Cemetery Association lot holders reported more improvements in 1936 than any prior year. The group bought a church driveway, added cement paths, straightened and set monuments, planted hedges along the south edge, re-elected the retiring board, and named H T Kepler caretaker. Treasurer Uriah Bertsch reported 1936 income and 1937 balance totaling 9710.43 with 5360.43 in the General Fund.
