Lincoln High School’s music department presents the Easter cantata Christ Victorious on Sunday March 27 at four oclock in Lincoln Auditorium. Junior and senior choirs totaling 175 voice full chorus plus small groups perform. Admission is free to all.

The W. R. C. held a settling-up meeting noting gross proceeds of $98 from the bean supper on Feb 22 with $13 in expenses. After contributions cut costs, $85 remains to cover Memorial Day expenses, and one membership application was received. Next corps meeting is March 11.
Fire chief Vern Pritchard ordered the fire siren sounded every Saturday at 12 o clock noon to test its condition. The siren has been repaired and deemed in good shape, and the tests will proceed at the same hour indefinitely.

Frank Tingle of Connersville, known in Cambridge City and brother in law of the late Mrs Griffin and Mrs Reed, was seriously injured in an automobile accident about ten days ago returning from a Florida visit. He returned home last Thursday and Tuesday underwent knee cap surgery at Connersville hospital, leaving him with a stiff knee.
The Indiana Railroad System sells its Indianapolis to Richmond bus franchise to Greyhound Lines. Transfer completes after Public Service Commission order. The deal includes the Indianapolis to Terre Haute route and other short lines. Separate offer reportedly seeks sale of unused traction cars for tourist camps.
Twenty five members gathered at Mrs Hugh Foss home for a needlework display and sale by Indiana blind women before a program on Roumania. Mrs Byron Stratton spoke on Origin and History of the Roumanian State and Mrs Wallace Warren covered Present Problems of Roumania and Bucharest with notes on the capital’s role and royal turmoil. Next meeting set for March 14 with Mrs J W Young.
Mrs. Harry Stannah hosts the Thursday Bridge club today. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Means of Duluth Minnesota will be guests of honor at a luncheon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles North this Thursday evening.

Mrs. B R Conner and her daughter Leeta escaped serious injury when a car from a cross road south of Williamsburg forced their vehicle off the road. The Conner car ran into a ditch and overturned twice, leaving Mrs. Conner with bruises and Leeta badly cut and bruised. The auto was badly damaged with the top crushed.

U Z Reigle sold his interest in the Central hotel to H C Thompson who owns the building and moved into possession on Tuesday March 1. Thompson moved his family to the hotel this week and will run the hotel with his cigar store in the west room. Reigle and family relocated to a Pershing area farm. Mr and Mrs Ernest Jeffries of Connersville visited Irvin Harmeier and family Sunday.
