Charles Votan his wife and two children and his mother traveled from Pennsylvania toward Kansas and spent part of Sunday with his sister and her husband Mr and Mrs Frank Repp.

Tom Burns of Nashville Tennessee a former East Germantown resident and friend of the late Jerry L McDaniel renewed former acquaintances in the neighborhood over the 4th He left East Germantown in 1880 to work as an engineer on the L and N Railroad in Nashville and retired with a pension on July 1 He has recently had the crack run on the Boeuthlend Limited on the L and N railroad.

Harrison has moved to a Chicago position and left for that city last week. Hodson bought a jersey cow Saturday and took it to his Bentonville farm for pasture it was stolen during the same night.
Mr and Mrs Irvin Harmeier and children Ruth and Robert spent Sunday in Southport visiting Mr and Mrs Ted Davidson. Mrs Franklin S Reynolds and daughter Dorothea Urbahns spent Friday visiting relatives in Indianapolis.
Misses Freeda and Margaret Conner and brother Woody Conner spent several days the last of the week with relatives at Russiaville and Kokomo. Mrs John Lowry and children left Sunday for Eureka California to join Mr Lowry stationed for two years as an officer of the National Reserves. She was accompanied by Mrs Lillian Lowry of Phoenix Arizona visiting Mrs E P Diffenderfer and other relatives and will spend the summer with her son and family on the Pacific coast.
Miss Violette Lamm of Anderson spent the weekend with Miss Janet Kirlin. This informal social visit reflects common community ties and leisure travel in the area.
Mrs Harrison Davis and her family from Falmouth spent Saturday with home folks, returning to their community for a day of family gathering and local visits.

Mr and Mrs Fred Horine of Flint Michigan visit Friday to see Mrs Horine’s brother Charles Wheeler and spouse and other kin. Mr Horine rushed to Hagerstown due to his mother’s serious illness.
Mr and Mrs Clifford Braden and daughter spent Sunday in Anderson with Mr and Mrs Frank Roof. Donald Roof of Anderson will spend the weeks at the Braden home. Mr and Mrs Will Matson and son of Arizona returned home after three weeks with Mr and Mrs William Rowlan and relatives in Indiana. Mr and Mrs Norman Clodfelter host his sister from Loogootee for the week. Mrs Willis Dorsett and son visit relatives at Coatesville.
The 1934 Travelers Insurance figures show 15 950 pedestrian deaths and about 270 000 injuries. Half of deaths occurred while crossing streets mid block or against signals, with higher risk when crossing at non crosswalk areas. Drivers are urged to be tolerant amid pedestrian faults.
