Monroestor of Lackland Ohio spent Tuesday night with his sister Mrs Katherine Hussey. Mrs Carrie Stewart and granddaughter visit sister Mrs Anna Broaddus. Missionary Society held a Thank Offering service at the Methodist church with singing scripture Mary C Templin and a gospel sermon by Rev Watkins. Embroidery club hosted a unique party at the Christian church basement for Mrs Broaddus boarding school with ages 6 to 12. The event recreated a red schoolhouse scene with a three course dinner and old fashioned performances.
Wayne County notice lists Ben Stalker as administrator of the Mary B. Stalker estate and Edna Swiggett and Robert Hicks as executors of the John K. Smith estate. Both filings state the estates are solvent and name attorneys Dodson & Byrnes and Feemster & Feemster respectively.
Notice is given that Washington Township Wayne County Indiana will receive sealed bids by the Trustee and Advisory Board until 2 PM July 22 1927 for a ten inch drain from the new school building toward the river east of Milton. Bids include labor materials and all costs and must follow plans on file. Estimated cost 1300 dollars. Bid forms from the State Board of Accounts with a 50 dollar certified check to Albert Newman Trustee.
In Wayne County Indiana the Wayne Circuit Court notices sale of personal property from the estate of Sarah Smith deceased. Administrator Harry B. Demaree will offer for public auction at the decedent's late residence in Dublin Jackson township on Thursday July 71 1927 at 1 30 PM. Items include household effects millinery goods and small store room equipment with antiques valued for collectors. Terms cash for sums up to 5 00 credit up to six months with note bearing 6 percent interest and usual security. Auctioneers Weddle Hindman and attorneys Gardner Jessup Tripp. Dublin Indiana June 23 1927.
Plaintiffs Harry D. Morris et al file in Wayne Circuit Court a complaint for partition and to quiet title to 55.76 acres in Wayne County Indiana described as part of Section 28, Township 16N, Range 12E, with a P C G C St L Railway right of way exception. Defendants Arthur Moore and Charles Moore are nonresidents and must answer by August 23, 1927, or the suit proceeds in their absence. Clerk Grank G. Smith witnesses. Attorneys Feemster and Pee muster for plaintiffs.
