Militon nurseryman M H Gaar built a thriving Capitol Hill stock
In 1884 M H Gaar aged 1% spent summers with David Lee at Milton helping pick and sell fruit trees. He later learned nurseryman skills, worked from Germantown to Milton, and built a large Capitol Hill nursery. The firm grew via fruit trees grapes and shrubs amid land booms and war-time shifts.
