Veteran Minister Dead in Terre Haute Civil War Veteran

The Rev R E Hawley aged 832 a Civil War veteran and long time Indiana Presbyterian minister died at his Terre Haute home last Friday Funeral services were held at the First Presbyterian church in Terre Haute He was born in Putnamville served with Company C 116th Indiana volunteers and later held pastorates in Washington Cambridge City Georgetown and Terre Haute He studied at Lane Seminary Indiana University and Wabash College He was survived by his widow and a daughter and had remarried Miss Minnie Marple.
