Mr and Mrs Voyle Martindale were dinner guests of Mr and Mrs Dudley Elmer at the Country Club in Richmond Saturday evening.
Mrs. Ross Hutchinson entertained Wednesday with bridge. Guests included Mesdames Harry Bales Clarence Ingermann of Connersville E P Diffenderfer Harry Thompson Paul Drischel H Kuster and Harry Stannah.
Mr. and Mrs. John Lowry and family of Newcastle spent the weekend with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ogborn, sharing time together with family in the area.
Mr and Mrs Alvin Bertsch were weekend guests of Mr and Mrs Floyd Chafee in Cincinnati during a short visit.
Mrs. Will H. Butler hosted guests from Richmond on Friday, including Mrs. Fred Lahrman, Mrs. John Markles, and Mrs. Cathrine O'Neill, for a social visit at her home.

Freshmen return Cab drew the entire high school Tuesday. A large Farmers Short Course at Purdue last week included Charles Freeman Emery Baker and families. John and Mrs. Clay of Chicago moved into the Ayer’s place on Lincoln Drive.
Residents of Jackson, Washington, Harrison, Dudley and Posey townships may exhibit. If unable to bring exhibits on Friday, entries can be left earlier at First National Bank or with Mr. O V Winks at the high school.
DeWitt Scheidler son of Mr and Mrs Harry S Scheidler married Miss Bertha Rutledge daughter of Mr and Mrs Bert C Rutledge in a small ceremony at the bride's home 119 East Twenty Fifth street Indianapolis They plan a Florida honeymoon and will reside at 3361 Carrollton Avenue Indianapolis after February 15 with tribune extending congratulations.
A wedding was held December 21 at the Ruffin home in Richmond West Virginia with Miss Henrietta Ruffin marrying William Robert Cornthwaite son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Cornthwaite. The ceremony featured palms candles and flowers with Miss Mary Demueade Ruffin as maid of honor and A Blake Cornthwaite as best man. The couple plans a wedding trip and will reside at 3500 Monument Avenue Maymount apartment Richmond.
Mr and Mrs Harper Lindsay hosted Tuesday evening guests including Mr and Mrs Claude Stanley of New Castle Mr and Mrs Floyd Chafee of Cincinnati Mr and Mrs Ralph A and Mr and Mrs Alvin Bertsch Miss Alice Bradbury held a luncheon Thursday with Mrs J E Wright Mrs J W Marson Mrs Frank Ohmit Mrs Ophelia Shults Mrs Mae Pelton and Miss Gertrude Routh.
Mrs Frank Ohmit entertained Friday afternoon with bridge guests including Mrs Frank Florea Mrs Roy Copeland Mrs Frank Ludington Mrs Mae Pelton Mrs Alvin Bertsch Mrs K P Diffenderfer and Mrs Chas Ferguson in a social card party setting.
Miss Elizabeth Paul hosted a luncheon bridge for Miss Mary Bertsch who leaves Wednesday for Minneapolis. Mrs. Sadie Vickery, residing with Mr. and Mrs. O J Wentz southwest of Cambridge City, was taken to M E hospital in Indianapolis for major surgery.
Mr and Mrs Herbert Hodson of Connersville spent Sunday with Mr and Mrs Arthur Hodson as Arthur Hodson slowly recovers from injuries suffered in an automobile accident several weeks ago.
