A persuasive ad urges shoppers to buy shoes described as the best makes from top American factories. It promises value and quality and encourages not missing the department sale.
The store promotes a season selling event featuring imported fancy plaids and broadcloth at discounted prices. Deals include all wool fabrics at reduced rates such as $1.50 for plaid varieties and $1.25 for black check panama and broadcloth, with other textiles priced from 50c to 65c.
Dealers claim all fur makers abandoned plans for a winter as prices plummet. We bought heavily at low rates and will sell at those costs, presenting a once in a lifetime chance as weather risks push prices down.
Yard wide taffeta and silks advertised with prices during January 23 to February 14. Taffeta priced at 1.25 and 1.50 per yard with 89 cent and 1.19 dollar offers. Fancy waist and suit silks offered at 69 cents per yard.
