Father and son killed when train strikes car near Covington
Edward J Williams 50 and his son Dale Williams died after their Chevrolet was struck by a Peoria & Eastern passenger train near Covington Indiana while returning from Joliet to Cambridge City They suffered severe injuries and died within minutes and twenty five minutes after hospital care Their bodies were brought to Smiths hotel and funeral services were held at the Methodist church Survivors include wife two sons Roy and Robert and a daughter Irene Remembered as a mattress maker Edward and Dale were residents of this city with Roy visiting Joliet prior to the accident

George Mosbaugh died at his Santa Anna home on December 23 after long illness. Born 1838 in Cicero Indiana, he lived in California since the 1870s. He was a Civil War veteran, a fruit grower and banker. Survived by widow, one daughter, sister Mrs Hattie Heist of Milton Indiana, brother John Mosbaugh of Pittsburgh, Frank Mosbaugh and family visited in September.
