Old Settlers Picnic in Wayne County Highlights
The sixty ninth Old Settlers picnic was held last Saturday in the Wayne County High School building with about 500 attendees. William H. Reser of Lafayette gave a history talk on Wayne County and Mrs. Grace Julian Clark of Indianapolis offered a brief, well received talk. Officers for the coming year were named: William Matthews president, Carl Jackson vice president, Mrs. Minnie Wright secretary, and O T McConaha treasurer. Ed S Hosholi, 72, formerly a druggist in Cambridge City, died last Wednesday in Indianapolis after a career in pharmacy and city service. survived by a daughter, two sons, and a sister.
